8 Plants that can be grown indoors

Today is going to be about plants that can be grown indoors. Everybody knows (and if not they’ll find out today) that plants are so difficult to manage when it comes to keep it in the house. This happens because of the restrained environment with limited lightning and air. But let’s see: growing a brand new plant in your apartment can only have benefits. It is scientifically shown that some plants filter toxins like formaldehyde, xylene and toluene. And not only a plant can make your home look more beautiful, but also it can reduce stress and symptoms of depression. So I came in exchange to provide you a list of the best plants that are suitable for your apartments or houses. Here it goes:

Jade Plant

The Jade Plant, also called the Money Tree, it’s the perfect plant if you are searching for something that doesn't require a lot of watering. This beautiful succulent can live up decades and it only needs some bright light and normal room temperatures. It is one of the easiest plants to grow indoors and it also brings beautiful visualization to your home by it’s strange branches and thick leaves. It’s almost like it is a very small sized tree straight into your house and that is what it makes this plant so interesting.
The conditions needed are bright light (the best place to put it is near a window), temperatures are 65-75 F and 55 in the cold weather, and to keep the soil relatively dry. Taken care properly the Jade Plant can produce small white or pink leaves.

English Ivy
The English Ivy is described as being a climbing plant that can grow up to 20-30 m. This plant can be seen on house walls and in gardens as it is labeled as one of an invasive species. It brings extra elegance to your home and a touch of English eerie look. Also if you are the type of person that likes vintage and old but yet stylish looking this is the perfect plant for you. Hipsters should love it and it also makes a nice present for them. It was also shown that the plant can filter from indoors formaldehyde that can be found in household products. We also recommend that you choose the English Ivy if you are a smoker. Why? It removes the benzene, which is a very bad chemical found in in the cigarette smoke. The English Ivy doesn't require lot of caring. It only needs moist soil and cooler room temperatures.

Pothos plant
The Pothos Plant is the right plant for your home if you are looking for something beautiful and good for your health at the same time. Why? Because this plant can absorb toxins like formaldehyde from your house and purify the air. Why beautiful? Well, it’s not by chance that this plant is also called devil’s ivy. It can be grown in a hanging basket or just left to crawl up trained onto a trelice or an object. It can grow up to eight ft, that’s how versatile it can be. It is also known that this plant can stay green even in the dark. All you need to do to keep it healthy and beautiful is to assure it a low to bright light, normal room temperatures (60-75 F) and to keep the soil moderately dry.

Caution: This plant is very poisonous for pets and children. So if you have a cute little cat like we do or if your child is too young yet to understand “Don’t eat that”, you should probably refrain from getting this plant in your house or in your garden for that matter. Aloe Vera
The plant Aloe is the plant for your home if you want it for decoration and for skin care. You should be probably aware of the fact that this plant is known for its medicinal purposes and that it figures on a lot of skin care products. So whenever you come from the beach and have sunburn, your plant can heal you immediately by just breaking out a leaf and pouring the liquid. Aloe Vera plants are perfect for indoors because they don’t require a lot of sunlight, or else the leaves will turn brown, and not too much of watering because they like their soil somewhat dry.

White Peace Lilly
The Peace Lily Plant is one of the strongest plants that can remove toxins. It can absorb formaldehyde, benzene and trichloroethylene and other sorts of toxins. Besides that it is a very beautiful and elegant plant with white flowers and dark long leaves. Also it doesn't need too much care, filtered light, warmth and humidity are enough for it. For the best results, it should be watered frequently and then the soil must be left to dry between watering. If you do all of these, flowers will appear in the late summer and they should be lasting for weeks. So this plant has a lot of benefits for your home: creates aesthetic looking, purifies the air and doesn't make you need to take extra care of it.

Snake Plant
The Snake Plant, or otherwise in popular culture called “Mother-in-law’s tongue”, (snakes and mother-in-law’s…I wonder what’s the connection) is a succulent plant that can tolerate neglect pretty well. If you are looking for a plant to put in your bedroom this one is the right one because it can convert CO2 at night and remove the toxins from the house. It comes in different shapes: tall forms, shorter or bird’s nest forms. It likes its soil to be dry between watering, likes normal room temperatures and prefers the sun but it can tolerate a little bit of shade also. It can make your home look more stylish because of its architectural sword-shaped leaves and interesting imagery of it.

Spider Plant
The Spider Plant is a very popular plant among us but it remains in our attention. This plant is a strong and long living one because of the numerous toxins it can destroy. These plants come in a lot of varieties and add some interesting visuals to a room because of the way it looks. Long and thin leaves with green and white across the margins, just like the legs of a spider. It is perfect for hanging baskets and put in a lighten room. The conditions for this plant are to have a moist soil, bright to medium lighting and normal room temperatures (60-75 degrees).

Dieffenbachia
Dieffenbachia is a species of a beautiful plant with green-and-white long leaves that can grow up to 6 feet tall. Why is this plant best for your apartment? Well, as you can see in the picture this plant has a tropical overall look that will fit perfectly to your living room for example. You can get this plant in several forms, from the almost dwarf type to the massive Dieffenbachia amoena. But you must treat it with caution because it didn't earned the name ‘dumb cane” for nothing as its toxic sap can cause a temporary inability to speak if ingested (and I’m here thinking again about mother-in-laws). As for taking care of it, the dieffenbachia plant can do well in room average temperatures because it doesn't need more or less than 60-75 degrees. The powerful sun and high temperatures can make it very weak. It likes I exchange some bright light.

So this is it. Our list of the best plants that can be easily grown indoors. I hope you enjoyed our post and will find the plant you are looking for between these eight. Our suggestion is to take them all if you have enough room. Don't forget to share if you find the post useful.
