We found another wonderful idea of a DIY project that can turn a simple pot into a work of art and your house into a more beautiful place. In case you are a fan of water plants and ponds, but you are not a friend of digging holes in your garden, you should definitely try this. It's easy to do!
This picture guide is pretty self explanatory and you can see that as far as materials go it's pretty inexpensive. Once you know what container you are going to use, just seal the bottom of the container to prevent the water pouring out, and fill it up with soil. Depending on what plants you are planning to grow you should adjust the depth of the water, by adding containers that you can fill up with soil. You can try to do it as in the picture on the left, or another simple idea is to use another smaller pot that you simply place inside and fill up with soil. The container can be either terracotta, plastic or metal... or perhaps you can recycle something that you were about to throw out (an old bathtub or half of a truck tire, be creative).
Water plants are not that picky when it comes to soil so you can use almost any type of dirt that you find around. You can also fill part of your container with rocks so you can save up the amount of dirt you have to put in.
